· METHODS: Fifteen patients (15 eyes) with retinal detachment (RD) and grade C proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) underwent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) and pars plana lensectomy (PPL) with preservation and polishing of the anterior capsule.
